How does self storage work?

Booking a storage container is simple. You reserve your self storage unit online, choose your start date, and move in from that day. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive access details for the site and a secure padlock for your container. When can I access my storage container?

Once your rental has started, you can access your container 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This makes our storage ideal for both personal storage and business storage where flexible access is important.


What is the cancellation policy?

We keep our self storage as flexible as possible. Storage is rented on a monthly rolling contract, which continues until cancelled. You can cancel at any time by giving notice, and you will retain access to your storage unit until 11pm on the one-month anniversary of your last payment. No further charges will be made after notice is given.


Is there a minimum rental period?

Yes. The minimum rental period is one month, after which storage continues on a flexible monthly basis.


What size are the storage containers?

All of our storage units are 20-foot shipping containers, providing a large, secure storage space.

Can I store a car in a container?

Yes. Our containers can be used for car storage near Peterborough. Most cars fit comfortably inside a 20-foot container. You may need a small ramp to drive the vehicle into the container, and we can help advise on this if required.


Are the storage containers clean and weatherproof?

Yes. All of our containers are new A-grade (A1) shipping containers. They are wind and watertight, clean, and well ventilated, with multiple air vents to help prevent condensation.


How secure are the storage units?

Our storage containers are made from strong steel and designed to protect your belongings. Each container is secured with a high-security Stronghold padlock, which we provide when you move in.


Do I need my own padlock?

No. We provide a high-security Stronghold padlock and key for your container to ensure your belongings are kept secure.


Are there any other costs?

No. The price you pay for your storage unit is the only cost. The only additional charge would be if a replacement key is required.


How close can I park to my storage container?

You can drive directly up to your storage unit, making it easy to load and unload furniture, tools, equipment or stock.


Do you offer storage for businesses?
